WHAT IT'S REALLY LIKE
I've played this game twice now — once with my mom and boyfriend, once just with my boyfriend. Came in 3rd both times.
Here's what I learned:
The best challenges aren’t the high-point ones
Giving medicine to street dogs and seeing their tails wag. Watching kids’ faces light up when you bring school supplies. These moments stick with you.
You’ll fall in love with the locals
Trading clothes with someone. Learning to cook from a grandmother. Helping an artisan. These aren’t just checkboxes — they’re real connections.
Mountains are better with other teams
Eight teams got stuck on a peak at sunset when a storm rolled in. What would have been terrifying alone became an insane highlight — everyone keeping spirits high as we came down together.
People you’d never meet otherwise
One challenge was to get a photo with 6 people from different countries. We had ages 20 to 63 in that photo without even trying. All having a ball.
The magic moments you never see coming
You say yes to tea with a local. Five hours later he’s taught you instruments and invited his band over. You’re cooking with his wife while your partner teaches their kid nursery rhymes. All because you randomly turned left.
The points are your guide to saying yes
You do things you never would because “screw it! It’s 3 points!! Let’s go!!” The map becomes a guide for insane experiences you never expected.
I AM SO PASSIONATE ABOUT THIS GAME
It'll break you — physically, mentally, emotionally — but the second it's over, you need to do it again.
